While Terry Taylor had performed “solo” (essentially backed up by most of the members of Daniel Amos) since the band’s last appearance at Cornerstone in 1993, in 2000 the whole band proper, Daniel Amos, performed a midnight show at the festival. Even then, the band didn’t play *all* of the songs that night.
This is not the first time the band has acted out this gag, with each member of the band claiming to be unable to continue the show and “conveniently” being replaced by someone that just happened to be in the crowd, but nonetheless, the band enjoyed some fun by placing some fans on the instruments and letting them play “I Love You #19.” I’m pretty sure that’s John J. Thompson (formerly of the music store True Tunes and newsletter True Tunes News) is playing on keyboards/organ and Bruce Brown is on drums. Not sure who else is on stage here.
