Cornerstone Vids #20, Further Seems Forever – 2001

Further Seems Forever was initially formed when the hardcore band Strongarm came to an end and the band members recruited singer Chris Carrabba. Carrabba, however, was also simultaneously working on his first project for his own band, Dashboard Confessional and after recording the first album The Moon Is Down decided to pursue Dashboard Confessional and the rest is history. Further Seems Forever continued on with a new lead singer, Jason Gleason and became a fixture at Cornerstone Festival for a few years.

This is a video from the 2001 show at Cornerstone Festival. I wasn’t at this one, but I was at their show the next year in 2002 in a totally packed-out tent and what I remember most about that show was that the crowd sang along to every song louder than the band. I remember thinking “these kids know every word of every song.” It was pretty powerful and combined with the passionate performance on stage made for a pretty memorable show.
