Adriene and I are trying to start out the girls on good music and we hope it sticks.  Hopefully twelve years from now, we won&#8217;t have to endure whatever the contemporary equivalent of Britney Spears will be in their music players.<\/p>\n<p>We have a boom-box in the nursery and we each made CD&#8217;s to play quietly through the night, mostly soothing stuff from our collections to play for them.  Adriene, naturally, selected a lot of U2, Coldplay, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and a little bit of Keane along with other music for her CD.  I selected some more relaxing songs by Over the Rhine, Sandra McCracken, Linford Detweiler&#8217;s piano CDs (fabulous for soothing babies!),  some quieter Lost Dogs songs and even some of Micheal Pritzl&#8217;s soothing solo work.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is the music relaxing for the babies, but they are soothing for mom and dad, too.
