A Wii for me!

Spencer found two Wii systems at Target and picked up one for him and one for me. So, I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. I got it all set up and created my Mii. So far I only have the Wii Sports game and I played all of those. Of the Wii Sports games, I think bowling is probably my favorite, but I can see where all of them will be fun with a group of friends at a party.

Adriene seems to enjoy bowling quite a bit, too. I’m looking forward to playing the games with some of my friends and picking up some additional titles. Maybe we can even get some entertaining pictures of people playing the Wii.

Not much substantial in this post… more to come soon, I hope!

  1. Get in all your playtime now…. or practice using the Wii controller while holding a sack of potatoes in your other arm. 🙂

On a random note, have you heard Leeland? I love their album and you are one of my few christian friends who still cares about music. Just curious…

  2. Cool, somebody else that I know finally has a Wii! We’ll have to trade Miis at some point. 🙂

Leeland’s playing Cornerstone this year, on the Gallery Stage. They’re pretty CCMish, but Hindalong co-produced the record and they list Mute Math as an influence, so those are points in their favor. I have them down as “they sound pretty good, maybe worth checking out live” in our Cornerstone band preview.

  3. Oh, one other thing… Twilight Princess was really, really fun on the Wii if you’re into action/adventure games. It’s LONG – took me about 75 hours to beat it (finish the game, do all the scavenger hunt things, and at least a token effort on all the minigames) – but it’s cool.

  4. we need to start comparing bowling scores. my highest is 214 so far, but i haven’t broken 170 since. the learning curve isn’t too bad on the bowling or the tennis. boxing’s tough though.

  5. I’ll have to check out Leeland when I’m at Cornerstone, Marc! Thanks for the recommendation…

…and so far I think something in the neighborhood of 195 as a highest bowling score.
