The Myriad wears their influences obviously on their sleeves (Muse, Radiohead, etc.) but those are influences I can get into, so I was willing to give this band a shot when I first saw them at 2004. I wasn’t bowled over, but they’ve slowly improved each year that I’ve seen them at Cornerstone and I’ve gotten where I really enjoy them now. Sadly, they haven’t played in the last couple of years, but I see they are working on a new album, so hopefully they’ll be back soon. This is one of my favorite songs by the band at Cornerstone Festival 2006.

I’ve really never gotten into them. In small doses, their style seems like something I would like, but every time I’ve tried to watch them play at Cornerstone, I’ve quickly gotten bored and wandered off in search of something more interesting, like ice cream.
The only time I’ve made it through a full set was when they opened for Eisley in Atlanta, and even during that set, when I was in a club with nowhere else to go, I found myself wanting to go wander around somewhere else.
