My Love Is A Fever
Karin declared that she was rebelling in her own way. While tattoos and piercings are the norm at Cornerstone Festival, she was bedecked in a little back dress and high heels. Her husband, Linford Detweiler was in a mood for a change, too. Many years Linford brought a whole arsenal of keyboards and his Hammond Organ with him to the festival, but this year he would bring only one keyboard. Devon Ashley joined them on drums for his third Cornerstone and upright bassist Bryon House replaced the recently departed to Australia Rick Plant.
Faithfully Dangerous
After playing at Cornerstone on the Gallery Stage so many years, Karin said she’s become well acquainted with the tent pole that stands immediately in front of the stage and blocks much of her vision of the crowd. “I get to know this thing better and better every year.”
I Want You To Be My Love
Linford sings background vocals on this song with Karin. It’s kinda charming to hear them sing together.
Linford says there’s something about the midnight slot that feels a little “midnight mass-ish”
Born
Devon sings background vocals on this song.
Drunkard’s Prayer
Byron’s bass really made this song what it was on the album and it’s great to now hear it live.
Jesus In New Orleans
I’m On A Roll
Linford tells the story about how they started writing the song. “It’s fun to write for a girl….”
I Don’t Wanna Waste Your Time
Linford tells the story about their sound guy, TD Juicy, and his quote, “I don’t want to go out unless you are going to go deep.”
Is It Too Late To Start?
Linford talks about his days at church as a child and how people would ask for “unspoken requests” and said he thinks of some of his songs as unspoken requests.
Little Did I Know
Nice little piano and drums instrumental duet by Linford and Devon on this song.
The Seahorse/Summertime
Just Karin and Linford on guitars.

Trouble

Lifelong Fling
Linford does the vocals with Karin in some kind of spoken word way. Not sure if I liked it or not.
My Love Is A Fever
Byron cuts loose with a great bass solo.
This was a good, fun show that had a little jazzy feel to it. The addition of Byron House changes the sound of the band a little bit. I don’t think he will touring with them long term, though. So, call it just a hunch, but I think they will be touring with some new faces this fall.
