My favorite CD of the month: U2: How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb

OK, I'm ready to talk about this album a little. Simply a stunning,
mature, and powerful album from a band that is still pushing forward when many bands at their
twentieth year of music are just retreading old hits. "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own", "Original of
The Species", "A Man and a Woman" and "Crumbs From Your Table" reflect a band that's growing older, but
still wants to cause a ruckus.

April 23, 2005: Drinking from the kool-aid

So, Geof finally talked me into jumping on to the WordPress
bandwagon. So now I have a real honest-to-gosh "blog." As
such, this page will likely be changing drastically as I move all my content into the blog and this page becomes
redundant. This page will probably become a "front page" of sorts for all my stuff. If you currently use an RSS
reader to get updates to my site, you'll want to change the RSS feed to
http://thedirtroad.net/jeff/journal/feed/ as the feed to this
page will likely change to just give updates about the general thedirtroad.net updates.

I think I'm going to write up a couple short stories about my failed attempts at romance
before meeting Adriene. These ought to be good for a laugh.

April 7, 2005: Accountability!

In an effort to get back in shape, I'm training for the
Peachtree Road Race. To keep myself accountable, I'm posting my times here.
I have no shame. I know my mile-splits suck. Hopefully, as I progress, the times will get better. If you see a bunch of
days on the page with no entries, e-mail me and tell me what a slug I am!
