Kathleen wants to know what my greatest fear regarding Erin and Gracie is, as well as my greatest hope.
I guess my greatest fear is that I’m not going to get the whole motherhood thing “right,” and that they’ll be adversely affected by it. I knew countless people growing up whose parents really screwed up, and it affected them badly. I’m a worrier by nature, and a lot of my time is spent these days worrying about them - how much they eat, if they’re sleeping too much, if they’re sleeping too little, what does that cough mean, etc. I just have to tell myself that the mere fact that I worry about them so much is proof that I do care enough and that I’m doing everything I can to keep them healthy, warm, safe, and loved.
My greatest hope for them is that they’re able to grow into confident, independent, godly women. I want them to be realistic, but I also want them to pursue the dreams that they have and not put them aside just because they’re “not practical.” And I think having a good relationship with their Heavenly Father will do a lot to help them realize their dreams. I guess the best way to show them how to love Jesus is to lead by example.

Eric asked if we are planning on having more kids anytime soon.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:breathe:
Okay, simply put, no we don’t have any plans to have more kids any time soon. We originally said, when we got married, that we wanted two children. Well, we’ve got two!
Plus, the last three months of my pregnancy are still pretty vivid in my mind, and well, they weren’t exactly fun, so I don’t have any strong desire to be pregnant again anytime soon.
I’m not going to say that we’re NEVER going to have kids again (mostly because I know God has a sense of humor regarding “I’m never” statements. See also: my assertion three years ago that I was “never going to have two children in diapers at the same time, because that’s just stupid.”), but we don’t PLAN to have any more.

So, Scott wants to know what kind of superhero I would be. (Way to throw a question I actually have to THINK about, Scott. Oh, and I’m ignoring the second part of your comment.)
I guess I’d probably be someone who can either stop or stretch time. That’s mostly because I’ve never felt there are enough hours in the day to do everything I want to get done (and that’s not just because of my two arrivals back in September. I’ve had this problem for a LONG time). If I could just squeeze an extra hour or two in to get stuff done that I NEED to get done, I figure I’d have a little more time to do stuff that I actually want to do.
But, until I get that power, I’ll just sit here and waste time online. And then complain about how I never have time to do things that I need to do.

So, Roger wants to know what my hobbies are/were (he’s a smart fellow who knows I don’t have much time to enjoy hobbies these days!). Probably my biggest hobby is cooking, especially baking. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to enjoy doing much of it the past few months, but things are getting easier by the day, and most nights I can get dinner on the table these days, at least!
A recent (as in, the past five years) hobby of mine is home improvement-type stuff. If I get too bored, Jeff isn’t surprised for me to walk in the house with two cans of paint, while informing him to stay out of my way for the next couple of days.
I think I’ve painted our bathroom three times since we’ve been here (and I’m still not thrilled with the color).
Does shopping count as a hobby? Because I seriously love it.

OK - I’ll say I’ll take questions for one more day, then I’ll start posting answers.
