I cannot forget where it is that I come from.

I was just perusing some of Jeff’s photos from his Flickr site, and found some that he took last Christmas when we were in Savannah. Seriously, I often forget how beautiful the town I grew up in is:

Doors to the Lutheran Church of the Ascension:

Trinity United Methodist Church, the oldest Methodist congregation (and also where Jeff and I were married):

Spanish Moss (I love how all the trees down there look like this):

Factor’s Walk:

The spires of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist:

Sometimes I get homesick when I see pictures like this - but I know it’s only three hours away and I can visit whenever I want.

Now, I’ve just got to get Jeff to take some pictures of the rivers and the marshes around there, and I’ll be set. :)

Now that I got the D50, I want to go back to Savannah and take some more pictures.

Yeah, Scott - Savannah and Charleston are very similar. (They were both founded around the same time, and are pretty close together, so the climate’s pretty much the same).

And Jeff - we should try to go down there around Oktoberfest time!
