Mmm. October.
There’s just something kind of satisfying about the beginning of October. I guess it’s because I consider it the “unofficial” beginning of fall (nevermind that it’s still a balmy 78 degrees here in Atlanta…).
Fall’s probably one of my favorite times of year - I love the cooler days, the changing of the leaves, and the food that it brings. In fact, today I indulged in making pumpkin-cranberry scones.
I’ll be mailing these to a friend as part of a baking circle that we’ve started on the .net. I also set out my fall placemats, bowls, and candles today and did a little cleaning while I was at it.
Here’s hoping the weather cooperates soon and starts feeling more like fall.

Yeah, and soon you’ll be in full-on Arctic Tundra mode.
I’ll take a delayed fall for a mild winter.
