Egad.
I forgot to give you people a Song of the Week last week.
Beat me if you must. I sincerely apologize.

“Desperately Wanting” - Better Than Ezra
Yes, I’m feeling nostalgic again. This is another song that falls into what I’d call jangly-rock. And it reminds me of high school. 
I have many memories of driving my old blue Jimmy to the beach with the windows rolled down (because my A/C didn’t work) and stuff like this blaring from my speakers.
But a note of warning, the lyrics aren’t so happy. Listen to this one for the tune only. Unless you want to be depressed.

‘friction baby’ is my favorite BTE album. they were big when i was in high school. they never made it that big, but their first two major label cds were really good. i went and saw them in athens 3 times while i was at clemson. each time got progressively more pop sounding. it was sad. that first show i saw was part of the ‘friction baby’ tour in ‘96, and ‘desperately wanting’ brought down the house.
