Song of the Week, 9/29/04

Posted in Song of the Week at 8:46 pm by Adriene

Well, my first TWO choices for “Song of the Week.”

1. “Vertigo” - U2
U2’s first single from their upcoming release, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Tres cool, very noisy, almost retro-feel to it. Somewhat of a departure from their ATYCLB sound. Edge’s guitar will melt your face off. Plus a kickin’ bass part that you can’t get out of your head.

2. “Boom, Like That” - Mark Knopfler
This one’s a bit of a surprise for me, as I’m not usually in the Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits fan club. However, this is a grooving piece of music that’s great for a drive. It’s off of his latest release Shangri-la. I thank Dave FM for introducing me to this one.

I’ve never heard either song, so you’ll forgive me for not having a better comment, yes?

    Perhaps.

You must take your lashings, though.
