Looks like this guy’s got it all figured out…

Well, my first TWO choices for “Song of the Week.”
1. “Vertigo” - U2
U2’s first single from their upcoming release, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Tres cool, very noisy, almost retro-feel to it. Somewhat of a departure from their ATYCLB sound. Edge’s guitar will melt your face off. Plus a kickin’ bass part that you can’t get out of your head.
2. “Boom, Like That” - Mark Knopfler
This one’s a bit of a surprise for me, as I’m not usually in the Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits fan club. However, this is a grooving piece of music that’s great for a drive. It’s off of his latest release Shangri-la. I thank Dave FM for introducing me to this one.
Well, some folks have asked. Where’d I get the name, “Vocalized Visualization?”
Well, to be honest, I originally wanted to borrow a line from my favorite band, U2, and call it “Dream Out Loud.”
But you go to Google and type that in and see how many hits you get. *sigh*
So, I decided to be creative. With a little help from Microsoft Word’s Thesaurus function.
“Dream out loud” roughly translates to “Vocalized Visualization,” yes?
So, there ya go.
So I caved. I swore I’d never be one of those “self-important posers” who had a blog. *sigh*
So, here I am.
Blame Jeff. Blame anyone else you can think of. But most of all, I guess I need to blame myself for having all of these ideas in my head that I felt the need to get out.
Anyway, I’ll be posting more later, I’m sure… Until then, sit tight, and I’ll try not to disappoint!
